There is no shortage
of USB 2.0 hubs on the market to choose from, so Belkin
wisely included some nice design features to make its hub
stand out from the crowd.
Having 7 rather than
the more common 4 ports to work with is a welcome feature.
However, having 2 of these ports mounted vertically on top
of the hub is a much appreciated design feature that's
especially handy when using devices such as flash
drives.
Belkin's hub comes
with separate LED indicators for monitoring the status of
each port, though these lights aren't numbered, and there is
a LED indicator that lets you know when the hub is receiving
power (a power supply is included with the
hub).
Additional features
include over-current detection and protection and the
ability to stack the hub. The hub also includes a small,
printed manual and a USB device cable.
I've been using the Belkin USB hub for
about a month and have had no problems of any type with it,
and its slendor design and silver color look quite nice next
to my dual processor G5.
Pros:
Thin design; stackable; includes 2 vertical ports; separate
LED status indicator for each port.
Cons:
LED status lights aren't numbered.

Plus can
more than double the life of your ink
cartridges.
* The silver review unit is Belkin
part number F5U237-APL-S. The hub also is available in black
(F5U237).
